~~In Memoriam: Walter Stevens 1925-2007~~

Uncle Steve...you were the most kind, gentle person that I have had the pleasure to know.  You taught me many things that I will always carry close to my heart.   Names of trees, birds, flowers and singing around the campfire and the best pot of chili I ever tasted and throwing horseshoes and not to scream when I caught a fish so that everyone thought I fell into the river.   My most precious memories as a child growing up were spent with you and Aunt Betty.  You will be missed by so many, including all your grandchildren and great grandchildren and the rest of us who had the pleasure of knowing "Grandpa".  I know that you are in a garden full of the things you loved.  Rest in Peace.  Your loving niece...Sandy
