***The information that is listed below regarding John B Killingsworth is documented and can assume to be correct. I have an extensive paper file that was previously researched on John B Killingsworth and his descendents if anyone has questions regarding him or his children's descendents. Listed below are only the direct descendents to the Richardson family line***
John B (Jack) KILLINGSWORTH was born about 1809 in Tennessee and died in 1856 in Crawford County, Arkansas. He was the son of John KILLINGSWORTH and Sarah BLACKMORE?. He was married on September 6, 1832 in Jackson County, Alabama to Cynthia LAWRENCE, daughter of Elijah LAWRENCE. Cynthia was born on December 25th, 1812 in Alabama and died July 1st, 1899 in Arkansas. They came to Arkansas from Alabama when they had five children and the youngest being only 18 months old. Cynthia rode side saddle carrying the baby. The five children who were born in Alabama and came with their parents to Arkansas were, Ettien (Ethan), James, Elisha, Parolee and John W. The source of this information is a family bible in possession of a family member in Mountainsburg, Arkansas.
Once in Arkansas three more children that are documented in a 1850 Arkansas Census, were born to John B and Cynthia. They are Archibald and Safronia and Caldonia who were twins. There are two other names in the family bible that may have been children that didn't live long. One being Linsy KILLINGSWORTH born 1839 with no other information and Merinda KILLINGSWORTH who only lived a little over three months.
John B KILLINGSWORTH fought in the Mexican War for 6 months. John B had Tuberculosis and when he knew he was close to dying, he asked to be buried at his favorite deer stand. For many years afterward, the cemetery that developed there bore his name. In more recent years, the name has been changed to Locke as it is part of that community. The cemetery is well kept and a beautiful place in the woods.
Sons of John B KILLINGSWORTH that fought in the Civil War were, Ethan, James, Elisha and John W. (See War Veterans page) One story that stems from the Civil War that involves the Killingsworth Family, is that bushwhackers came to the home and threatened to kill the family. Cynthia begged that Ethan, who was absent from active duty, be spared his life because he had so little time to live. Cynthia recognized the leader of the group of bushwhackers as being a former neighbor boy who had played with Ethan as a child. When recognized, the man and his gang fled and the family remained unharmed. Later, the man that Cynthia recognized, operated a grocery store in the area. Cynthia KILLINGSWORTH always refused to trade at the store because of the bushwhacker incident. The source of this information is from Killingsworth Family information gathered by F. Holt of Arkansas. Ethan was apparently too ill to remain with his regiment during the Civil War and returned home where he died in March of 1864 according to a letter from John Wiley KILLINGSWORTH to cousins. (See letter below)
John B has many descendents so I am only listing the one who directly relates to the RICHARDSON line.

The children of Caldonia KILLINGSWORTH and James VAUGHT were: Sarah O. and Parolee Eleanor VAUGHT.
Parolee Eleanor VAUGHT was born on June 7th, 1869 and died July 21st, 1941. She was the daughter of Caldonia KILLINGSWORTH and James VAUGHT. She married Joseph Thomas TEAGUE (see TEAGUE page) on October 1st, 1885. Joseph was the son of Lorenzo Dow TEAGUE and Dicie Jane RAGSDALE.
